Getting used to life here.. :D Week # 3

Hi guys!!! i'm back!!! firstly, i just wanna say SORRY for not updating my blog weekly.. :(
well coz as u know, i'm still trying to adapt to the life here... haha still a little bit not used to it.. but soon, i will used to it.. i think...
well, actually what really makes me busy is my presentations...  yea we already start to do presentations... and so far, i think all my lecturers r not  very happy with out performance... haha well, hopefully, we will all be better in presenting coz FYI, we( foundation in computing students) will actually need to present in front of ALL the FOUNDATION students..ie, students for foundation in design, culinary arts and etc!!! at the end of the year!!! <drown>


anyway, these weeks, had been quite a good week all along... XD especially on Valentine's Day... WAIT!!! don get too excited!!! well, nobody gave me anything(obviously... :)) but...........


It was like the funniest day of my life!!  when i am walking back to my house, got a few ppl selling flowers to.. you know lar... haha then when i was walking pass them, one of them came to me and say in chinese, " do u wanna buy a flower?" of course i say NO! (obviously u know the reason why i say no...) then she ask again, " Today is Valentines' Day ma.. you should buy 1" and i just smile at her and say no.. then i think i almost smile the whole way back to my house.. XD


 last few weeks i also did went to the gym in my uni... just do a light approx. 2 hours workout... it is quite cold inside! haha yea, they switch on the aircond... 

oh did i ever mention that there is actually a half indoor/outdoor pool just outside the gym!!

after that, my friend and I went to pizza hut... zzzzz yea, all the calories that we had burn earlier, now comes back... and i think it comes back wit how many times the calories we had burn earlier.. XP
we decided to eat pizza coz there is a promotion EVERYDAY, that there will be a half price discount on selected ala carte ... that day the half price promo was cheese baked rice.. it was RM4.60 after discount.. but i only ate half and the other half, was my friend ate it... honestly, it wasn't good... :@ haha but the pizza was good... we order the lunch express set meal... which after tax is RM9.60 if i am not mistaken.. for the lunch express lar... 

Oh! the lake in my uni also got geese / goose!!! i heard that students do giv them food actually... and u can actually go near them... they wont really run away... in fact, sometime u can see them swimming in the lake... :)

hm.. just wanna share wit u guys the bus that i use everyday to go to uni...
need to pay RM1.50 for every trip! the bus is quite comfortable too... the aircond is quite cold... <-- my fav.. XD

i also did go and use the iMac computers in the mac lab!! this is just 1 lab! there is like 4-5 more labs... i think consist of iMac... i think lar... :) 
honestly, i am not used to it... ie, i don even know how to open the browser!! like where to open it.. haha had to ask my friend who used it before... yea, it was quite cool using the iMac...

there is a theatre room too!! Just a small theatre room that can fit up to 18 person... in front there, is actually 2 ppl lying down on the floor watching the movie.. but the mocie shown that time was kinda like the 1990s movies..haha zz

 This is the 24/7 study room... so basically, it is open 24 hours for student to study/do their assignment! but it is not very big... wish it was bigger... :)

 

we hav the vending machines like in every block... got food and drink vending machines... but the food 1 is expensive, like 2 times the usual price.. the can drink is like RM1.50

 the mineral water in the vending machines... not bad also got taylor's water mineral bottle.. RM1

New Life as a Taylorian! Week # 1

Hi guys... so i've actually already started to study in Taylor's University.. Why i choose Taylor's? coz it is quite a new uni, good facilities, nice environment and I think Taylor has good and friendly and experienced lecturers.. however, i actually stayed at subang jaya and i will need to use a shuttle bus provided by taylors to the taylor uni everyday... BUT, i will need to pay RM1.50 for EVERY TRIP! .. so in the morning need to wait for the bus at the bus stop... by that time, i also already sweating a little bit lo.. zzz haha coz me too fat.. XP..
The reason why i stay at subang jaya, is bcoz i can get food easily... and there r more choices.. there is the Asia Cafe that offers an array of food... western food, korean food, nasi campur, noodles, juices, u name it, they have it! :) and also, I think the accomodation here is slightly much cheaper than staying in the uni's hostel or any apartment around the uni... the prices of the food is ok.. some expensive and some quite resonable.. but for me, they all taste okay only and decent... one of my fav drink is Teh-C.. RM1.80.. it is quite nice and cheap! XD

well, i've actually clean my room 3 times! and yesterday was the third time... here r some pictures of my room..

well, orientation day was quite fun actually...
all the usualy activity you would expect on the orientation day of an Uni...
well, my fav was the ice breaking session.. (as usual :D) this is where u ask random ppl their names, what course they're taking and where they're from..
P/S.. i should hav ask for her name... zzz
haha lalala ok lets continue..

The orientation will only start at 9am actually, but they say come at 8.30.. but around 8am many ppl r watiting already... including me!

There are actually a lot of ppl waiting, but i didn't manage to take it coz.. lazy to take wit a lousy phone... :l

One of the interesting activity was campus hunt.. basically, u run around the uni( the uni is freaking big!!) and find for clues from a given clue... and from that clue, u solve it and it will lead u to another station... zzz so freaking tired running around.. i was sweating!!! there was one part of the campus hunt that we(my group members and I) need to go to another floor... around 4-5 floors up... we decided to use the lift( yeah the uni is big and there is lifts).. coz the lift already got around 2-3 ppl plus my group members and me; 15 person, the lift cannot close.. in the end, me and another group member need to GET OUT of the lift and run using the staircase!!! so tiring... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 

haha but it was kinda fun.. certain part of the uni, u will feel cool wind... probably coz of the lake in the middle of the uni and green trees around the uni...

the next day was just a simple intro to our foundation in computing course(FIC)... there are around 19 students in my class.. consist of international student too! from korea, bangladesh and others... haha not bad... after that we had the safety workshop... basically, it is a talk all about safety and it is for 4 HOURS!!!! but honestly, after the talk, i feel like the talk was only one hour.. coz the talk is very very interesting and funny... honestly, i think it is the best talk... haha the talk-ers were rather amusing and experienced... one thing i will nvr forget is, a Malaysian taekwondo coach gave a talk on that time, and he said, after u had immobilized a bad guy and u hav a chance to run, he said, " You should not run... You should RUN LIKE HELL!!" haha and we all burst into laughters... and he also said many other things on safety.. especially for girls to kick the guy's...... u know... when trying to escape from a bad guy.. XD

the next day was the club and society day...

yea... the orientation was rather interesting... haha... of course i did enjoy some food from the day i arrive here... 

That tine breakfast at IKEA.. the char kueh tiau were only 0.99sen! plus egg(RM1).. the popiah was 0.99sen too.. not bad.. :)

Do i miss my hometown? yea of course i will/do... miss the food... miss my cats and dogs... miss my TV.....
